The Beretta 92 A1 builds on the proven 90-series design with practical enhancements for home defence and tactical use, including an integrated MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for lights and laser aiming devices.

Controls, safety and maintenance

With a single/double-action system, an ambidextrous safety/decocker and a reversible magazine release, the 92 A1 supports efficient handling. Tool-free disassembly and a captive one-piece recoil spring simplify field maintenance and reduce the risk of losing parts.

Sights and capacity

The removable front sight allows easy replacement or upgrades such as night sights. The 17-round 9 mm magazines are fully interchangeable with other 90-series 9 mm pistols.

Durability

An internal frame buffer helps extend service life by reducing stress on the receiver during cycling.
