REAL – Freeze-dried outdoor meals with full flavor from Norway

REAL (Real Outdoor Food) is a brand produced by Drytech in Tromsø, Norway. The freeze-drying technology was initially developed in the early 1990s in collaboration with the Norwegian Armed Forces.

The product lineup includes lightweight freeze-dried meals such as REAL Turmat (camping meals), REAL Field Meal (field rations), and REAL On the Go (snacks). These meals are nutritious, flavorful, quick to prepare, and free from artificial additives.

Production takes place in Tromsø in a high-tech facility established in 2019. The meals are easily prepared with hot or cold water and are used by outdoor enthusiasts, rescue services, and expedition teams. REAL is also committed to sustainability, reducing packaging waste and energy usage.
