EMI (Emergency Medical International) was founded in the mid-1980s by Dr. Ronald Karl, an experienced emergency physician focused on public safety. The goal was to create practical equipment for emergency responders worldwide. Today, the portfolio includes over 300 products such as trauma and first aid kits, airway management bags, EMS and fire service bags, holsters, rescue tools, light sticks, emergency devices, and accessories.

The company has steadily expanded, increasing its facilities and workforce, and distributes through an international network. Product lines include Emergency Tactical Response™, Search & Rescue, Pro Response™ sets, and holster systems, all recognized for high manufacturing quality and reliability.
