Scho-Ka-Kola
Scho-Ka-Kola – Caffeinated Heritage Chocolate from GermanyScho-Ka-Kola originated in 1935 when the Hildebrand Chocolate Factory in Berlin created a high-energy chocolate launched at the 1936 Summer Olympics as “sports chocolate.” It earned the nickname “Aviator Chocolate” during World War II, becoming a staple in Luftwaffe rations and among military personnel. Each round tin contains 16 triangular pieces made with 58 % cocoa, 2.6 % roasted coffee, and 1.6 % kola nut—yielding roughly 200 mg of caffeine per tin (about 12.5 mg per piece), on par with energy drinks. Modern versions retain the classic red-and-white tin and original formula, emphasizing consistency and iconic design. |
