TekMat originated from a simple home incident: the founder used a dining table and dish towel to clean firearms, which inspired the first structured cleaning mat with a thermoplastic fiber surface and neoprene rubber base.

Today, TekMat mats are manufactured in Texas and offer oil- and water-resistant surfaces combined with a cushioned, non-slip backing. Each mat features an exploded schematic diagram of the firearm model for easy disassembly and reassembly. Dye-sublimation printing ensures long-lasting clarity and durability.
