Wacaco – Portable Hand-Espresso from Hong Kong

Founded in 2013 in Hong Kong by Jessie Wang and Hugo Cailleton—its name derives from their surnames and “Cooperation.”

In 2014, Wacaco launched the Minipresso: the first handheld, hand-powered mini espresso machine;

followed in 2017 by the Nanopresso—offering up to 18 bar pressure and later named “Best in Class” by WIRED in 2020 and 2021.

Wacaco has since expanded its line with portable brewers like Pipamoka, Cuppamoka, and the electric Pixapresso, began manufacturing in its own facilities in 2021, and added precision coffee tools like the Exagram scale and Exagrind grinder.
